Rossendale Nursing Home has made improvements since CQC last Inspection November 2019;

Rossendale Nursing Home no longer provides care for residents with Challenging behaviour.

We provide Nursing care and coming soon, Palliative Care.

 

Improvements made since CQC last Inspection November 2019

 

Person Centred Software system installed to ensure Care plans, Risk assessments and documentation is updated continuously via care staff handsets and to ensure all care records are fully guiding staff.

 

CCTV is installed to ensure resident safety in the Communal areas of the home, gaining consent from residents and Power of Attorneys.

 

Newly decorated Lounges,

Seaside themed dining area,

In house shop for residents to buy additional toiletries, magazines, sweets and activities.

 

Sensory music and music for dementia radio playing in 2 out of 3 lounges.

 

 Redecorated and Refurbished bedrooms, built in wardrobes, television, lounge/ dining areas included in large bedrooms.

Personal Protection Equipment training

Increased Infection Control due to Covid-19 pandemic. All staff and residents daily testing and monitoring temperature for signs of infection. All staff receive weekly and residents monthly Covid-19 testing.

All staff trained to use equipment and updated training to reduce risk of choking.

 

Activities

Additional activities provided due to activity programme due to residents self-isolating during Covid-19 pandemic.

Film nights with drinks and popcorn

Competitions/Quizzes with prizes, garden activities.
